A retired supervisor of Ethyl Corp. and Exxon, he died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his home in Ventress. He was 75 and a native of Port Arthur, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a Coast Guard hero. Graveside service at False River Memorial Park on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jason McNaughten. Interment in False River Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Constance "Connie" Chustz Glaze, of Ventress; two sons, Jimmy Glaze, of Ventress, and Dino Glaze, of Scott; grandchildren, Tommy Glaze, Brittany Glaze Chapman and Jamie Glaze; great-grandson, Carson Chapman; and a special pet, Oreo Glaze. Preceded in death by his parents, Floyed and Leatrice Glaze; sons, Tommy Glaze, Scooter Glaze and Eric Paul Glaze; granddaughter, Tiffany Glaze; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice Robillard Chustz and Dolzey Chustz. Pallbearers will be Tommy and James Glaze, Joshua Chapman, Gordon Chustz, Junior Muse and Nelton Vosburg. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
