Born Dec. 19, 1922, and a resident of Port Allen, he died Saturday morning, July 19, 2014, at his home. He was 91 and a native of Port Allen. He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, as well as a farmer, butcher and World War II Veteran. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Church, Lakeland, from 9:30 to 11:30 Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at the church at 11:30 Friday, celebrated by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Interment in Chenal Cemetery. He is survived by his ex-wife Joyce DeCuir; a sister Celeta Jasmin, four daughters and a son, Rose Collins, Lillian Alpough, Janice Flot, Patterson DeCuir, Edna Key. As well as, 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, 2 godchildren Mary Alice Roberts and Kathleen Gabriel, and many nieces, nephews and their progeny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denis an Edna DeCuir, as well as 2 sisters and 3 brothers and son Russell DeCuir. Niland's Funeral Service, Inc. are in charge of arrangements.
