Junie Boy passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Plaquemine Caring at the age of 82. He was a resident of Port Allen and a native of Plaquemine, La. He retired from the State of Louisiana as a Land Surveyor and was a US Army Veteran. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 11am until Rite of Christian Burial at 3pm, conducted by Deacon Sammy Collura. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Bourgoyne Dozier and husband Darrell and his devoted daughter, Jodie Lynn "Tiger" Bourgoyne; sons, Edward "Ed" Joseph Bourgoyne, Richard Bourgoyne and Jesse Bourgoyne; grandchildren, Jarred "Fonk" Bourgoyne, Brennan and Blake Dozier, Mikelynn, Gabrielle, Ed, Jr. and Andi Bourgoyne and a special great granddaughter, Malaina Lewis; sister, Margaret Ruth Morales; brothers, Oscar and R.J. Bourgoyne; his first wife, Barbara Durham; brother in law and best friend, Buddy Songy and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Schafer Bourgoyne; aunt and uncle, Victor and Cecile Bourgoyne who raised him; daughter, Rebecca Bourgoyne; son, Joseph Bourgoyne, Jr.; and numerous brothers and sisters.
