Karey Authement, 41, of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Karey was born on December 5, 1970 in Houma, Louisiana to Willard and Delores Authement. He graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 1988 and later attended Nicholls State University and Louisiana State University, graduating from LSU with a degree in accounting. Since 1997, he owned and operated Computer Wizards, specializing in repairing computers all over Louisiana, and in 2010 started KWATT Electric with his friend, Bobby Watson. Karey was a very faithful man, a devoted father, a loving husband, and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Karey was always ready with a joke and had an infectious laughter. He brought smiles and laughter to so many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Linda; parents Delores and Willard Authement of Chauvin, La.; in-laws Lynn and Barbara Clark of Baker, LA.; son Christopher; three daughters Emma, Sara and Allie; two brothers Stacy (Donna) of Houma, La. and Jarred (Amy) of Keller, TX; one sister Christine (William) of Houma, La.; two nephews Daniel and Matthew and two nieces Kylie and Kinsley. Services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Istrouma Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Authement Children's Fund at the APFCU at: PO Box 53006, Baton Rouge, LA 70892-3006.
