Napoleon J. Dotson Sr. crossed over on January 23, 2013, at 9:08 pm at his residence surrounded by his wife Helen H. Dotson. He was 79 years old. He was a native of Blanks, LA and a resident of Plaquemine, LA. He was a retired Police Officer with the Plaquemine Police Department and the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office. Visiting will be Monday, January 28, 2013, at St. Joseph Baptist Church, Plaquemine, at 5pm until religious service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 12:00 Noon officiated by Rev. Leonard Johnson. He was survived by his loving wife Helen Hall Dotson, sons, Napoleon (Deidre) Dotson Pearland, TX, Dwayne Dotson, Marvin (Felecia) Dotson, Baton Rouge, Malcolm (Turkesa) Dotson, Plaquemine, Jeffrey (Cheryl) James, Atlanta, GA and Brad (Lakeisha) Johnson, Tallahassee, FL and one nephew whom he reared as a son, Darian (Tammy) Pierce. Two brothers Milton (Shirley) Dotson, Jr. and Charles (Gloria) Dotson of Maringouin.. Two sisters Lillian R. King, Cleveland, OH and Annie Mae (James) Carroll of Maringouin, LA and 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements through Demby and Son Funeral Home, Burial False River Station Cemetery New Roads, La.
