Norman Paul Brignac, Jr. was born on May 24, 1929 and passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Bourgeois Brignac; sons: Jeffrey Brignac, Sr. and wife Mary; Bruce Brignac, and a daughter Sharon Wood. He is also survived by his brothers: Hubert Brignac, Melvin Brignac and sisters: Mildred Lear, Carolyn Grob, and Joyce Ann Cazenave. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren: Danielle Roussel, Jeffrey Brignac, Jr., Lauren Brignac and 2 great-grandchildren: Summer Roussel, and Kayla Oubre. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Brignac, Sr., Mother, Beatrice Hymel Brignac, and brother, Norris Brignac. Norman was a retiree of Freeport where he worked for 17 years. He was a Marine in the Korean War; a member of VFW Post 5152, and a member of the St. James Boat Club. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, LA.
