RIP my dear friend, Jeff. I will miss you but never forget you. I met Jeff back in 1988. He was a very caring and loving man who sincerely cared about others. I can still see the twinkle in his eyes and the smile on his face. Jeff, you live on in the hearts of all the people who knew you and loved you. I am one of them.

I became friends with Jeff during our frequent breakfast visits around New Orleans and Metairie. He always had a great recommendation about a new place or an old place with great food. We talked about many topics but he had a fondness for checking on others. Our group is diverse. When one was absent Jeff would inquire to make sure all was well. My son recently started Petroleum Engineering at LSU. As soon as Jeff heard he told me to give my son his phone number. He offered this by saying to me "look I'm not just being nice you tell Aaron any problem, any time any where call me." This may seem not significant but Jeff providing this support meant a lot. I am of cajun decent and have eaten many things but Jeff introduced me to tongue and he claimed Steins Deli in New Orleans had the best, we shared it a couple of times. We saw him this past Sunday at Steins and shared some great stories once again. Jeff I was happy for you when they took care of business. I just know you would have been at Steins wearing that Bama hat and strutting in front of the boys.....We will miss you dearly my friend and it was a pleasure to know you...I learned a few things along the way..God Bless you and your family!

There are not enough words to describe the sadness when you lose your very best friend, but Jeff and I never needed those kinds of words anyway. All we needed were where should go have oysters or dinner whenever I came into New Orleans from Chicago or Arizona. We hugged, we laughed and we enjoyed life.I'll miss our many, many phone calls and most of all his laughter. He was a gem and he touched many persons with his warmth, his knowledge and above all, his real interest in "how are you doing?"
Well, pal, I'm not doin' too well now, without you, but I know we'll meet again; whether it's upstairs or downstairs, we'll share more stories.

It is during this time that we realize how special people are in our life. Jeff Bennett was the Best Friend I have ever had. He was my Rock. He was such a kind, loving, generous man with a heart of gold. He spread generosity every where he went. I am truly blessed to have known this man for many many years. He did so much for me and my family I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jeffie,Traci, Stephen, Joella and Mackie.
May he rest in Peace now with the Lord our Father.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Bennett, unfortunately, only one time, but it has been a true blessing to have been close by during the beginning of his new life.
What an amazing man Jeff Bennett was to so many in his life. Obviously he was a man that gave so much of his time, his wisdom, and his love to all who entered his life. I would love to hear more of what Jeff Bennett did for others in his lifetime.
I am sure of this, he will be deeply missed by many. Praying confidently that he is resting in God's comfort now. Sincerely,
