Richard Davis Hardgrave Sr., a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Pride, LA, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the age of 87. He was a decorated US Navy WWII Veteran aboard the USS The Sullivans (DD-537). Richard had a talent in woodcarving specializing in water fowl, and was an avid bass fisherman. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by many loving children and numerous grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Hardgrave and three sons. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 10am until funeral service at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jay Michael Martin, Richard "Chip" Hardgrave Jr., Rebecca Richardson, Dr. Charles Eberly, Jared Poché, Jesse Martin, and Bill Badeaux.
