Robert Dean Brunson passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Carpenter House Hospice at the age of 63 on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High, attended Northwestern State University, Southeastern State University and Louisiana State University. Among Robert's many passions in life were race car driving, Mardi Gras, music, singing, his Grandchildren and he was an avid LSU fan. Robert proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corp. during the Viet Nam War. He spent his career doing Telecommunications with AT&T. Robert is survived by his wife, Lydia Brunson, children, Lawrence D. Brunson, Marilyn Brunson-Mince, siblings, Paul D. Brunson, Terry G. Clark, grandchildren, Corbin Casto, Layla Mince, Gabriel Brunson, He was preceded in death by his father Hulon Hiram Brunson, mother Dorothy Shows-Anderson, sister Linda D. Brown, brothers Hulon J. Brunson, Johnny M. Brunson, and Thomas B. Clark. Visitation will be held at Stevendale Baptist Church, 16545 Old Hammond Hwy. from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. Memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Graveside military honors to follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Port Hudson National Cemetery, 20978 Port Hickory Rd. Zachary, La. 70791.
