Brumfield Sr., Alfred Lewis "Pawpaw"
Alfred Lewis Brumfield, Sr., 73 a resident of Norwood, LA died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on May 7, 2021. Lewis or 'Pawpaw' was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His world revolved around his family. Especially his daughter Amanda and wife Diane. He enjoyed cutting grass, going out to eat, and visiting the casinos. He retired after working twenty years at the D.O.C. He also worked as a pest control technician for twenty-one years. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 5pm until 8pm, and then on May 11, 2021, from 9am until funeral services at 11 am, conducted by Chaplain Roger Mitchell and Joe Ratcliff. Burial will be at Eastern Star Cemetery in Wilson, LA. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-one years Evelyn 'Diane' Brumfield, son Alfred Lewis Brumfield Jr. and wife Renee of St. Francisville, LA; daughters Melissa Roark and husband Lance of St. Francisville, LA; Angelia Malbrough and husband Darren of Baton Rouge, LA; Kristie Sagely and husband Kyle of Brookhaven, MS; Amanda Brumfield of Norwood, LA; Brenda Brumfield and fianc'e Shane Russell of St. Francisville, LA; sister Judy Murphy and husband Eddie of Maryville, TN; sister-in-law Elbie Brumfield of Norwood, LA; sister-in-law Kay Smith of Denham Springs, LA; sister-in-law Rose Miller of Springfield, LA; brother Robert Brumfield and wife Rose of Denham Springs, LA; brother-in-law Earl Lanclos of Walker, LA; mother-in-law Elisa Lewis; fourteen grandchildren Kayla Brumfield, Jacob and Dylan Roark, Hannah Stears, Mary Bowlin, Kolby Sagely, Caden, Cole and Carson Bohannon, Kyndal Sagely, Cameron Bohannon, Kaitlynn Sagely, Baylei Russell, Elijah Malbrough and three great-grandchildren Troy and Hunter Talley and Parker Flint. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert H. Brumfield and Margaret Brumfield; sisters Betty Lanclos and Diane Varnado; brothers R.L. Miller; Billy and sister-in-law Jimmie Lou Brumfield; Bobby Brumfield and Lonnie Brumfield. Pallbearers will be David Bradham, Pete Peterson, Perry Rene, Shane Russell, Jacob and Dylan Roark, Kolby Sagely, Caden Bohannon. He may now move on from this world with no more pain and is now reunited with his family in heaven. Special thanks to Elbie Brumfield, Chaplain Roger Mitchell, and the Staff at Bridgeway Hospice.
