Anita V. Young, a resident of Watson, and native of Alexandria, died peacefully on September 22, 2017 in Baton Rouge at the age of 60. Anita is survived by her husband of 32 years Isaac "Ike" Young; daughter April and her husband Russ Hooge; son Michael Musser; brothers Mack Villagomez, and Kent Villagomez; sister Beth Luquette; her mother Flora Belle McGuire; grandchildren, Taylor K. & Cheyenne B. Hooge, Dixie Rose Musser and Elayna Rose Musser. She is preceded in death by her father Francisco G. Villagomez. Anyone seeing this picture of Anita would know how fitting it is for her personality. She was quick-witted, full of humor, loved holidays; and her words of wisdom were always welcomed. Her smile warmed a room & she never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed and dearly loved. Her wishes were for her ashes to be scattered in the state of Texas, as it always held a special place in her heart. A memorial service will be held at a later date. McLin & Manley Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Walker have been entrusted with arrangements. A message of sympathy may be left at www.mclinfuneralhome.com.

Anita was one of the best friends anyone could have. I'm a better person for having the privilege of knowing her, for the seemingly short time.
I'm trying to keep my promise to her of no tears. So far it's been broken twice. But through the tears, I smile and my heart fills warm and hopeful. The light she brought to this world will never fade.
Thank you Anita for the time you shared. Love you always.
