A loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister and friend, she departed this life Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at her home in Port Allen. She was 51 and a native of New Roads. Visiting at Grant's Westside Funeral Services, Port Allen, Friday, Oct. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. Visiting at Nazarene Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Albert Green. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Anna leaves to cherish many memories of her family; her devoted companion, John Paul Dixon; three children, Johnell Smith and wife Anita, Onatter Adams and husband Spencer, and Daysha Smith; two brothers, Edward Joseph Smith and wife Doris Nell, and Leonard Smith; six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Linda and Donald Toliver, Joyce M. and Chester Thomas, Shirley Jean and Alfred Smith, Wanda and Johnny Howard, Doris Ann Smith, Michelle and Robert Taylor; seven grandchildren, five nephews, seven nieces, six great-nieces, four great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Adams Jr.; parents, Edward and Lillie Mae Smith; five uncles, five aunts and two grandmothers and grandfathers.
