Antoine Leo "Bud" Charbonnet, III, a devoted and loving husband and a wonderful, caring father died on February 23, 2013, he was 73. He was a loyal employee of Georgia Pacific in Port Hudson for 32 years until his retirement in 1996. He loved his job and he loved the people he worked with. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Bud was a man among men who loved to hunt and fish. He was a gentle, kind, and loyal friend who always knew what to say; someone that could be counted on and trusted. He loved his many friends and colleagues, but his family was his life. He is survived by his wife, his love, Gazelda Graves Charbonnet, to whom he would have been married for 48 years on March 13th. He is also survived by his son, Brent Charbonnet; daughter-in-law, Angela Chabonnet; and his daughter, Kay Charbonnet. He leaves behind his greatest joys, his grandson, Brendan and granddaughter, Amber, neither could do no wrong in his eyes and he was so proud to be their "Pawpaw". He is also survived by his sister, Suzie Gabor, and dear longtime friend, Mr. Raymond Theriot. He loved his role as husband, father, and pawpaw, but he was a proud uncle as well and will be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antoine "Leo" Charbonnet and Robbie Lee Bond Charbonnet, as well as his sister, Nell Colkmire; father-in-law, P.I. Graves and mother-in-law, Elmira Lipscomb Graves. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Live Oak United Methodist Church, Watson, Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Mark Crosby. Burial will be at Live Oak Methodist Cemetery. Escorting him to his final resting place will be his friend and brother-in-law, Bobby L. Graves, his nephews, Cecil M. Graves, Jr., Robert Davidson, Joe Kelly, Joe Butler, and his grandson, Brendan Charbonnet. Honorary pallbearers are his son, Brent and his good friend, Mr. Raymond Theriot. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his name. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com.
