The life of Beatrice Sears will be celebrated in music and memories Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at University Baptist Church, 5775 Highland Road. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Ms. Bea is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald James Sears; two sons and their wives, Ronald and Beth, and Thomas and Judith; daughter, Julia and husband Darryl Bourgoyne; five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Ms. Bea is also survived by a brother, Lynn Woodcock; and two sisters, Monica Doan and Bonnie Chamberlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mary Ellen Woodcock; two brother, Lawrence and Donald; and two sisters, Iris Fosgitt and Ellen Woodcock. A native of Midland, Mich., she moved to Baton Rouge in 1978. She also resided in Florida for a while. The family would like to thank Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially Diane, Diana, Shirley, Denise and Judy, for their concern and kindness.
