Bert A. Allain was reunited with his loving heavenly father and his beautiful wife, Bernadine, whom he greatly missed on Saturday, March 7, 2009. He was 94 and a resident of Port Allen. Bert was a quiet "Southern gentleman" who went through life never asking for any special favors and always doing what needed to be done. He was a caring and loving husband, Daddy, Paw-paw and Paw-paw Great. He grew up in Back Brusly roaming the fields and woods of the area with his friends. He served his country as a medic in World War II and was retired from Ethyl Corp. with 30 years of service. He lived and loved his Catholic faith and his family. He enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening and telling stories of his life adventures.
