Betty Goza Farrar Amos, a dedicated mother, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA. Betty was born in El Dorado, AR, was a resident of Gonzales and a former longtime resident of Luling, LA. Survivors include her husband Dennis G. Amos; 3 daughters Lori Tregre and husband Percy, Carla Farrar and Ron Haydel, and Janet Madere and husband Kevin; son Michael E. Farrar and wife Ranell; also 2 step children; 7 grandchildren Lance, Leslie and Michelle Eusea, Kayla and Nathan Farrar and Dustin and Joshua Madere; 3 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her former husband Charles Edward Farrar; parents Edwin and Grace Carla McGoogan Goza and brother Harold Goza. Visitation is scheduled at New Life Community Church – A United Methodist Congregation, 134 Lakewood Drive, Luling, LA 70070 on Friday February 17, 2017 from 9AM until a celebration of Betty's life begins at 11AM; celebrated by Rev. Hadley Edwards. Entombment will follow at the St. Charles Cemetery mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Mike Farrar, Nathan Farrar, Calvin Goza, Lance Eusea, Dustin Madere, Joshua Madere, Kevin Madere and Ron Haydel. Honorary pallbearer will be Percy Tregre.
