Brian Richard Sisk, a resident of Sorrento, La met our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February, 27, 2014 at the age of 57. We knew him by many names, Daddy, Pops, Big Brother, Siskco, Big Boy, Rockhead, and most of all, Friend. He was born March 14, 1956 to Nadine Butler and Stephen Sisk. Brian was a 1974 graduate of Parkwood High School where he excelled at wrestling and Golden Gloves. He was a retired employee of Dow Chemical in Plaquemine, La. He was generous with his heart, his time, and anything he had. He was a father full of love and a friend ready to help. All he ever asked for was a smile and a big fish on the line! Brian wrote his story on all of our hearts. Visitation is at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, La on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 from 9:00am until funeral service at 10:00am, conducted by Pastor James May. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial immediately following funeral service. Brian is survived by his mother, Nadine Sisk of Duncanville, TX; Daughter, Melanie Raye Sisk and spouse Bobby Robertson of Prairieville, La; Son, Austin Michael Sisk of Sorrento, LA; Two brothers, Brent Sisk, of Arizona and Kenneth Sisk of Sorrento, LA; Two sisters, Laurie Sisk of Joplin, MO and Angela Sisk of San Diego, CA and his former spouse & friend Janet Anglin of Gonzales, LA. Brian also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a wealth of childhood friends, who he embraced as family his entire life, including Gisele Ellis, Sue Whited, Mark Whited, and Richard Whited, all of Joplin, MO. And, a special and rare friendship with Donny Ridinger. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Dale Sisk and a brother Stephen Dale Sisk II. We have peace in knowing there are no goodbyes in Jesus. His days are now filled with worshiping his Savior, Jesus.
