A native and resident of Donaldsonville. He passed away peacefully at Chateau D'Ville Nursing Home in Donaldsonville on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 9:15 A.M. He was 96. Visiting at Brazier-Watson Funeral Home. 623 Railroad Avenue, Donaldsonville, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and at Buena Vista Baptist Church, St. James, from 9:30 A.M. Saturday until religious services at noon, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Joseph Coleman. Hiram #12 F.&A.M.P.H.A. Rites at 11:00 A.M. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Olga Johnson Pedescleaux. His daughters: Charlesetta Knight, Constance (Ulysses) Bernard, Deedra (Rev. Elvin) Grant and Minister Jessica (Rev. Raymond) Geason. His son: Charles (Girdie) Pedescleaux Jr. His stepson, Michael Hedge. Stepdaughter, Cynthia Morrell. His brother, Rev. Victor (Ann) Pedescleaux; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence Pedescleaux and Orelia Williams Pedescleaux. His first wife, Roberta Singleton Pedescleaux. His brothers: Clarence, Euglid, Percy, Dennis, Ernest, Eldridge and Oscar Pedescleaux and a sister, Virginia Louise Pedescleaux. Brazier-Watson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
