A resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, after a courageous battle with Lupus, one of life's most challenging diseases. He was 21. He was an avid sports fan, who had a special love for football and basketball. He also was an eclectic music lover. Visiting at Grant's Westside Funeral Services, 1151 Louisiana Ave., Port Allen, on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present. Visitation resumes at St. Mathew Baptist Church, 22910 Warren St., Plaquemine, on Friday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m.until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Nolan Carlin. Burial in Israelite Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by his parents, Dana Alexander, native of Addis, and Chandra Calloway Alexander, native of Plaquemine whom now resides in San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Chandiell Alexander; nephew, Cardale Arbuckle; a special friend, Brittany Richardson; four uncles, Eugene Alexander Jr. and wife Nicole, Ashley Alexander and wife Asheal, Shane Alexander and Charles Riley; aunt, Kendra Druel; maternal grandparents, Henrietta Riley and Joe Williams; paternal grandfather, Eugene Alexander Sr. and wife Karen; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Virgie Alexander; and maternal great-grandparents, Lester and Corine Calloway.
