A native of McComb, Mississippi and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, December 26 at the Carpenter House. She was 94. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until the religious service at 3:00 p.m. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Alice Amoroso and husband Jerry; a sister, Jimmie Burris; 3 grandchildren, Richard Fazio, Donna Fazio and Jessica Amoroso and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Plitt, a daughter, Brenda Mauroner, a son, Larry Mauroner and a number of other family members. She was a loving Mother, a wonderful influence in the lives of her grandchildren and others and a longtime volunteer at Flannery Oaks Nursing Home. Memorial donations may be made to The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.

I will miss Clara tremendously. She was always happy and spreading cheer to all the residents at Dumas House and the COA dining room. She looked just like my paternal grandmother and I loved her a lot. She will be at rest now with her Heavenly Father. I love you Clara. Donna Pettitte
