Clifton O'Neal Burge, 85, a resident of Baker, LA passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015.Clifton is survived by his loving wife, Angelus King Burge; 3 sons, Timothy W. Burge, Roger Anthony Burge, and Warren Burge; granddaughter, London Burge; 2 sisters, Lottie Bass (Long Beach, MS) and Betty Lee (Long Beach, MS); and large extended family. Clifton is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Edmonia Burge; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Family request visiting hours be observed on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Clifton was a special man and dear friend to Joe Ballard and for that I will always have a warm spot in my heart for him. Words are so inadequate to help you in these times but know that the good Lord has another faithful servant in His arms. Love to all the family.
