A resident of Lake, he passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013, at the age of 77. He was retired from the State of Louisiana Department of Labor as a maintenance superintendent and was known as an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He is survived by his wife, Donna Futrell Vampran; two daughters, Lisa and Whitney Lambert, and Vickie and Edward Krieger; son, Aaron and Emmaline Vampran; sister, Connie Gauthreaux; brother, Valley Vampran Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney Viator, Jaret Lambert, Matthew Krieger, Michelle Krieger, Paul Villar, Amanda Villar, Megan Reine, Kristen Parks, Haley Vampran and Gavin Vampran; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Valley and Elma Vampran; daughter Carla Villar; granddaughter Lauren Villar; brothers Ralph Ernest and Howard Vampran; sister Dorothy Gagliano; and two infant brothers and one infant sister. Visitation on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, Saint Amant from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with mass and interment following.
