David Wesley Mulkey, Sr., age 92, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at his home in Central, LA. He served and defended his country in the US Army and Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He work for many years as an iron worker and was a very proud member of the Iron Workers Local #623. He was also know throughout his community of Central for delivering his homegrown satsumas and tomatoes to many friends. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Central, on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, Dec. 10 from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Vicker's Cemetery, Walker, LA. Survived by his daughter, Patricia Mulkey; sons, James and George Mulkey; brother, Louis Mulkey; and best friend and neighbor of over 40 years, Johnny Stanford; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Shirey Mulkey; children, David Mulkey, Jr., Roy Mulkey, Elmira Hart and Laura Farris; and his parents.
