Duck passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake at the age of 86. He was a retired scaffold builder; resident of Brusly and native of Port Allen, La. After his retirement Duck worked at Alexander Park in Brusly. He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. Visiting will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Ann Hebert; children, Missy Hebert Francise and husband Normand, Jr., and Chad Michael Hebert and wife Palestine; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Abby Francise; step grandchildren, Xavier and Zenia Johnson; sister, Mary Ann Carrier and husband James; brother, Chester Hebert, Jr.; sister in law, Betty Cumbo and husband Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester, Sr. and Laura Dantin Hebert; and sister, Joyce Boudreaux. Duck was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved his family and animals.
