Donald Paul Gomez Jr. passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the age of 91. He was retired from South-Central Bell Telephone Co. with 43 years service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling across the USA in his RV. He was past president of the Cajun Telephone Pioneer Camping Club of America. Donald was a faithful member of Parkview Baptist Church, where his memorial service will be held in the sanctuary on Saturday, March 17th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM prior to the service at 10:30 AM. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship with the family in the Mission Cafe. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Muriel Taylor; and his daughter, Thadys (Ronnie) Halll; two grandchildren: David (Becky Yuen) Hall of Australia and John (Crystal Norris) Hall of Denham Springs; great-grandchildren Grace and Lily; step-great-grandchildren Jai Yuen, Caleb Yuen and Isla Yuen. Donald was preceded in death by his father Donald Gomez Sr.; and sister, Eunice Gomez Sibley. Special thanks to Greg Plauche for his constant, endearing help during these last months.
