Doris Pollet Alleman, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a native and resident of White Castle. She is survived by her son Dennis Alleman and wife Brenda Gros Alleman; granddaughter Amanda Alleman; grandson Jonathon Alleman; great-grandson Caleb Alleman; sister Ida Mae Hurry; sister-in-law Ida Pollet and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by her husband Jessie Alleman; son Jessie Alleman Jr.; parents Paul and Lucille Pollet; brother Morris "Joe" Pollet; sister Aurlie Donaurd; two brothers-in-law Earl Donaurd and James Hurry. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Officiated by Rev. Joey Angeles. Burial will follow in White Castle Cemetery. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home and Comfort Care Hospice for the care giving to Doris during her illness.
