Dorothy Kelly Kirby, 77, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Walker, LA passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. A one-of-a-kind woman, Dorothy was active in Senior Olympics, loved to travel, a member of Walker Baptist Church and the best candy maker in town. She is survived by her grandsons: Tyler Kirby Jr., and Trace Kirby and wife Laurel; great grandchildren: Londyn, Riley, Kaatelynn, Christian, and Kayla; and brother and sister-in-law George Kelly and wife Roberta. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Kirby; sons: Skye Kirby and Tyler Kirby, Sr.; parents, George and Luvenia Kelly; and siblings: Thelma Thornton, Elma LeBlanc, Vera LeBlanc and M.J. Kirby. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 9 a.m. until service time at noon. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Dot certainly was a very sweet and loving person. God needed another angel so he chose her. She definitely was a "One of a Kind Lady", she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her so dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Dot was one of my favorite people from elementary school through high school and beyond. I taught her to play basketball when we were in elementary school. I will always remember her energy and positive attitude about life and I will miss her forever. Richard Jamison
