A ceremony celebrating the life of Doyt A. Janes will be 11 am Wednesday at Household of Faith Church; visitation will begin at 9 am. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery. Mr. Janes was born on February 25, 1946 in St. Elmo, Il, and passed from this life on June 16, 2018 at the age of 72 years. He was retired from Exxon after 35 years; and was owner of Janes Enterprises LLC; he was a resident of Prairieville and a member of Household of Faith Church. He enjoyed working with computers, playing his guitar, oldies music and The Beatles. His passion was time spent with his family. He also served with the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Margarite Janes; a daughter Michelle Songe; siblings Randall Janes and Janice Moore. Survivors include his wife of 43 years Geraldine "Jeannie" Janes; children Doyt "Allen" Janes (Tracy), Angela Trahan (Chris), and Kevin Janes (Michelle); brother Ralph "Kent" Janes; grandchildren Jacob, Royce, Skylynn and Ava; also survived by other relatives and friends. Services by Church Funeral Services.
