Edmondine Marcia Ferret Sanchez, born on January 2, 1921 in New Orleans, LA, was welcomed into eternal life by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 4:30 AM in Covington, LA at the age of 92. She was a resident of Chalmette, LA for 38 years and moved to Folsom, LA after Katrina. She was the daughter of the late Joseph August Ferret and Theresa Christina Sutera Ferret and the sister of the late August J. Ferret, James J. Ferret and Marie Ferret Caboni. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry E. Sanchez. She is survived by her sister, Madeline Guitreau of Denham Springs, LA. She was the beloved mother of Henry E. Sanchez of Folsom, LA, Ronald T. Sanchez, Sr. of Abita Springs, LA, Janice M. Colletti (Nicholas) of Carriere, MS, Patricia A. Hill (Eric) of Ponchatoula, LA and the late Gary L. Sanchez. Adoring grandmother of Sheri Sanchez Estrade (Ronald), Jennifer Colletti Gioia (Carlo), Melissa Faust Hartmann (David), Ronald T. Sanchez, Jr. (Raquel), Stephanie Colletti Bachemin (Gary), Melanie Faust Clesi (Adam) and great grandmother of Joseph Estrade, Ryan Estrade, Gabriella Gioia, Isabella Gioia, Hannah Hartmann, Emma Hartmann, Brayden Sanchez, Joshua Bachemin and Hailey Bachemin. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Her strength, wisdom, devotion and love for her family were endless. We will always love her and carry her forever in our hearts. Her gracious nature was evident to all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation Monday June 17th , 2013 beginning at 10:00 and followed with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon to be held at the chapel at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana.
