Eileen Agnes Verrett DeLaneuville, born October 12, 1947, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 3:19 p.m. Beloved mother of Jeffrey P. DeLaneuville (Jennifer), Ginger D. Lambert (Charles) and Amy D.Armand (Chad), sister of Valerie V. Poche (Deda) and the loving grandmother of Nicholas E. DeLaneuville, Ashley R. Tucker, Macy N. Lambert, Hunter J. Armand, Brady A. Armand and Brennan A. Armand, and the lifetime companion of her cousin, Frankie Tarullo; also survived by many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald A. "LongBoy" DeLaneuville, and her loving parents, AnnaLee Matherne Verrett and Earl W. Verrett. She was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of LaPlace, LA for the past 48 years, and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church throughout those years. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th Street, LaPlace, LA followed by a Funeral Mass at Noon. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Reserve, LA. Heartfelt expressions of gratitude are extended to Dr. Anu Vellanki and the nursing staff of St. James Parish Hospital and Notre Dame Hospice. There's just no way I can wrap my heart around your passing this soon in our lives. To say that you will be missed is so understated. You never knew how much you were loved and liked. Your heart was so caring and loving. You rlaughter and famous "eye rolls" will be missed. I love you so much.
