Ethel Marie Spiers passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, after a lengthy illness, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs, at the age of 73 years. Survived by her beloved husband of 55 years Carlton Spiers Jr. who has named her an honorary "Dixie-Rat"; her daughter Carla Spiers Prevost (husband Thomas); son William Spiers (wife Janice); grandchildren Benjamin Prevost, Carter Prevost, Alex Prevost, Riley Prevost, Hayley Spiers, Sydney Spiers, Jett Spiers, Sabina Spiers; sisters Laura Louise Kendrick, Wilma Archer; brother Sonny Forest; and daughter-in-law Ashley Spiers. Preceded in death by her parents, William Alonzo Fletcher and Viola Duke Fletcher; sister Beatrice Bergeron; and brother Charles Forest. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 11AM until 1PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1PM. Entombment at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum to follow. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gomez and the Infusion Staff Lawanda and Susan at Ochsner Medical Center.
