Evan Kennedy Mills, beloved son of Judy Hogg Mills and Clovis "Sonny" Mills, died unexpectedly in Picayune, Miss. He was 25 years old. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, at University Baptist Church, 5775 Highland Road, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 3, at University Baptist Church beginning at 10 a.m. Born in Baton Rouge on February 8, 1987, Evan attended Trinity Episcopal Day School, Sacred Heart Middle School and Dunham High School. He was a graduate of Hosanna Christian Academy and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. He recently began managing some family property in Mississippi. Evan is survived by his mother, Judy Hogg Mills, of Baton Rouge, and his father, Sonny Mills, of Mississippi. He also leaves his loving grandparents, Med and Mae Hogg; his brother, Mark Mills and wife Ginger; nephews, Danny and Casey Mills, and niece, Shea Mills; uncles and aunts, Tommy Hogg, Jim and Linda Hogg, Tom and Trudy Kiggans and John Hogg; cousins, Rebekah Kiggans Owens, Matthew Kiggans, Mary Margaret Kiggans, Daniel Kiggans, Austin Hogg, Gabrielle Hogg and James Hogg. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Coleman and EC Rash and Clovis Mills.
