Evelyn Rebecca "Becky" Perrone passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Lakewood Quarters Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Baton Rouge. Visiting at Bethany World Prayer Center North, Baker, Monday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m. Becky was born Feb. 16, 1931, at the Watrous Homestead in Mystic, Conn., where she grew up. At age 22, she married her sweetheart, Salvatore Perrone, and they began their lives together. She and her husband lived in Merritt Island, Fla., from 1956 until 1989 when they moved to Baker, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and a positive influence in the lives of her family and friends. Those who knew Becky knew she enjoyed the simple things: lovely flowers, spending time with her family, doting on her grandchildren and sipping coffee with close friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Salvatore Perrone; three daughters, Rosemary Anderson and husband Jimmy, Cassandra Ross and husband Herman Lee, and Patricia Henriott and husband Jon; a son, Joseph Perrone and wife Kathleen; three sisters, Delight Allen, Hope Bowman and Linda Dobbert; and a brother, Palmer Watrous. She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Alice Watrous; and her mother, Bessie Watrous, who died shortly after Becky's birth; and a brother, Stephen Watrous. Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Please sign the online guest book at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
