Fred Ellis Brady, a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in LaPlace, LA, on Friday July 28, 2017 at the ripe old age of 91. He was a native of Garyville, and also resided in Grand Isle for many years. Survived by his children, Rhoda B. Villar (Robert), Duane Brady (Susan), Darilyn B. Dauzat (David), seven grandchildren, Tiffany B. Duhon, Autumn Villar, Cami Langley, Austin and Sommer Brady, Kaitlyn and Kody Dauzat, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one loyal brother, Forest Brady Sr. He is preceded in death by his wife Helen M. Brady, and daughter Sonya G. Brady. Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S Army where he served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Avondale Shipyards in 1988 and began the second phase of his life travelling the world with his loving wife of 60 years. A special thanks to Ms. Ruby Scott for taking care of our father with love and compassion. Lt. Fred Ellis Moses Brady generously donated his body to medical science in hopes that they will discover the gene for the fountain of youth! Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial to Celebrate His Life, at the Silver Star (Crack Shack), 566 Garyville Northern St, Garyville LA. on Sunday August 20, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. noon.
