Garrett Joseph Claybourn was born on July 9, 1937. God received an angel much too soon on March 9, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Garrett did a small tour of duty in the United States Air Force as an airman. Garrett later in life became a long time resident of Baton Rouge and a successful businessman as CEO/owner of Claybourn interiors. He loved his close friends and gave back to the community with gracious generosity. A man of God, loved great literature, and well versed with Bible scripture. Knowledge attributed to his reading, he was a class act. He will be sadly missed and his memories will be highly archived in the memories of us closest to him. Preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Claybourn, originally from Parsons, Kansas. Very special thanks to caregiver and good friend he loved dearly, Melba Braud. He is survived by his son Brendan Claybourn and his granddaughter H. Claybourn, and his estranged wife. God is lucky to have received a special Angel. A memorial service will be announced later this summer.

I hope this messages finds you and your family well. I also pray that the loss of Mr Garrett has gotten easier for all those that knew, loved and were impacted by his life as I was.
