George Joseph Arceneaux, 85, a resident of Donaldsonville, LA passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. He was a retired Secretary Treasurer of Evan Hall Sugar Cooperative, Inc. having served from 1957 thru 1998, Vice President of C. Schexnayder, Inc, and Graduate of Ascension Catholic High School Class of 1950 and attended LSU. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict from 1953 thru 1957. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 64 years, Elsie Schexnayder Arceneaux; three daughters, Patricia Schexnayder (Francis), Judith Berthelot (Ronnie), and Laurie David (Mitch); two sons, Michael Arceneaux and Gary Arceneaux (Donna); thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer McDowell (Jonathan), John Schexnayder (Lyndsay), Jason Schexnayder (Jenna), Justin Schexnayder (Jessica), Sarah Wilson (Jade), Rebecca Welborn (Matt), Gregory Berthelot, Michael Arceneaux II, Matthew Arceneaux (Sara), Adam Arceneaux (Whitney), Alyssa Arceneaux, Kimberly LeDoux (John) and Christopher David (Kathleen); 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Susie Gremillion (Gaynor), Marjorie Alexander (Ralph) and Bobbie Riche' (Bob) and two brother-in-laws, Davis S. Schexnayder and Rogers J. Dupre. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis L. Arceneaux and Blanche Delaune Arceneaux and one sister-in-law, Bertha S. Dupre. Pallbearers will be: John Schexnayder, Jason Schexnayder, Justin Schexnayder, Gregory Berthelot, Michael Arceneaux II, Matthew Arceneaux, Adam Arceneaux and Christopher David. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Burial to follow in Church Mausoleum. George was a good customer of mine at Evan-Hall. I worked for Moore Business Forms at the time. His co. bought IBM 402 computer and l made the forms for it....Charles Wilkins
