"Love is patient, love is kind…it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." I Corinthians 13: 4, 7. Geraldine Lewis Parsons McIndoe, 92, native of Amite County, Mississippi and resident of Baton Rouge, went to join her Lord and all her beloved family and friends in Heaven on July 23, 2013. Born March 20, 1921, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Geraldine loved God, family, friends and church. She was a natural born caregiver with so many talents. Geraldine could sew beautifully almost anything imaginable, including dolls, wedding dresses and quilts. As a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, Geraldine enjoyed being very active in church functions. She taught children in Sunday School and Bible School. In later years, she was a member of the Esther Sunday School Class. Geraldine treasured the time with her close friends playing cards. With her 2nd husband, she traveled over most of the United States and much of Europe. She shared God's love freely with her family. Her great faith was built on a strong foundation of love and compassion, and she will be missed by so many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac R. and Lois Branch Lewis; husband of 44 years, Dudley Lee Parsons Sr.; grandson, Joseph E. LeBlanc III; 2nd husband of 17 years, Robert R. "Mac" McIndoe; brothers, Russell Lewis, Ralph Lewis, Whitford Lewis and Robert Lewis; and sisters, Emogene Moak and Frances Young.
