A native of Hillaryville and a resident of Donaldsonville, Irma Marie Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2017, surrounded by family and friends at the age of 68. She was employed by Chateau D'Ville Nursing home for many years. Visiting 6-8 PM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Demby & Son Funeral Home, 900 Magnolia St., Donaldsonville. Visitation continues 12 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Greater Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 926 St. Patrick St., Donaldsonville, until religious services at 2 PM, conducted by Rev. Timothy Campbell Sr., Pastor. Interment in St. Phillip Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by a son, Joseph Brown Jr., Houston, Texas; 2 daughters, Swantrika Burd and Shulondia White of Donaldsonville; 3 sisters, 5 brothers, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Brown Sr., parents; Dan Sr. and Margaret Perkins; father and mother-in-law, Clem Sr. and Beatrice Brown.
