Irvin Henry Scallan, 78, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his home. A native of Mansura, Louisiana and a resident of Springfield, Henry was the former owner of Louisiana Pride and Scallan's Meat Market. He was honored to be a Freemason and Shriner and he enjoyed boating, cooking and large family gatherings. He is survived by his four daughters, Glenda Collins, Christy Mitchell, Pamela Arceneaux and Theresa Maddox; his 6 Grand Children, Amanda Reid, Wesley Collins, Joshua Mitchell, Abby Mitchell, Olivia Arceneaux and Sophie Arceneaux; his two Great Grand Children Nellie Reid, Emmi Lu Reid; his two brothers Robert Scallan Jr. and Stephen Scallan. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Leona M. Scallan; his brother Marcus Scallan; his sisters Gertrude Himel, Emily Aydell, Irene Wheeler, Jo Ellen Bottger, Marthaleen Afeman and Catherine Mollere. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Services at Woodland Park Baptist Church in Hammond, Louisiana on Monday, November 18, 2013. Visitation to start at 10:00 am followed by Services at 1:00 pm. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, LA at 3:00 pm.
