Daddy was born on July 4, 1923 and departed this life on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2017. He was a true American symbol. He was in the Army in World War II, he played baseball for the Chicago White Sox and was a Railroad Engineer for Illinois Central. He was first and foremost a Christian. He and mama were charter members of Lanier Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Daddy was living in the War Vet Home in Jackson, LA. He had two loving wives, Earline Perryman and Azalene Partrich. He leaves behind a boxcar of loving and fun memories for daughter Julie and Dave Cleveland, son, Kim and Cathy, grandkids Jason and Brian, Jeff Cleveland, Wendy Stafford, and great grandkids Justin, Hannah and Haley Radley, Hunter Stafford, and Hanna Williams. Daddy was a member of BLE and Fairfields Masonic Lodge. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00pm Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
