Jacqueline Peake Armato was born Nov. 27, 1939, and passed away at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 72, a native of Cardiff, Wales, and a resident of Ponchatoula. Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Gary W. Armato, Ponchatoula; daughter, Lindsey Phillips and husband Bobby, Independence; two sons, Glenn L. Miller Jr. and wife Christy De Soto Miller, Ponchatoula, and Ivy D. Miller and wife Reneé Miller, Amite; two sisters, Glynnis Axcel, England, and Shirley Peake, Cardiff, Wales; brother, John Peake, England; 12 grandchildren, Charles Murphree, Michael Murphree, Robert Phillips, Mellissa Phillips White, Aimeé Wiggins, Jessica Miller, Joshua Miller, Jordan Miller, Christian Miller, Kyle Miller, Isabel Miller and Annabelle Miller; 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah White, Heidi White, Madisyn White, Layney White, Riley Phillips, Austin St. Cyr, Aaliyah Nesbitt, Caylee Murphree, Brooklynn Perkins and Brock Wiggins; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, John Peake; mother, Winifred McNulty; and brothers, Norman Peake and David McNulty. Visitation at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on Friday, Jan. 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prayer service at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Mike Agnello officiating.
