Jerry was a great friend he will be missed. He was so down to earth. I could not believe it until I had some classes with him and Charles Hansberry. Family let the Peace of God carry you through this time of sorry. Phil 4:4

I extend my utmost and sincere condolences to the Allen family. I was a close classmate with Jerry from junior high school throughout high school. We took most of the same classes together and became very dear friends. In addition to being extremely intelligent, Jerry was down to earth, compassionate, friendly, and he had an infectious smile! Although he and I left Baton Rouge, I never forgot Jerry, and I was extremely delighted to see him a few years ago at a class reunion. Jesus says in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." It is my prayer that the Lord will continue to bless you and comfort you.

Jerry will be deeply missed and always remembered as a kind-hearted, fun-loving classmate and friend. To his family and friends, may you all find peace in knowing he is resting in his heavenly home. Proverbs 3:5 instructs us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding." While I offer my sincerest condolence, find comfort in knowing that he resides in a place where there is no suffering...no pain... Only joy!
