A native of Morganza, he passed away at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at his home in Glynn, La. He was 94, a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired Carpenter and member of Carpenters Local #1098. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland, on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Msgr. Robert Berggreen. Interment in Chenal Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Giselle Dicharry of Gonzales; three sons, Joseph K. DeCuir and wife Cindi of Northridge, Calif., E. Spencer DeCuir of Glynn, La. and Darryl DeCuir of Glynn, La.; grandchildren, Blake Aguillard, Holly, Olivia and Zachary Dicharry and Sean DeCuir; and great granddaughter, Avery DeCuir. Preceded in death by his wife, Nola Darensburg DeCuir; parents, August and Bertha LeDuff DeCuir; sisters, Bertina Baker and Mildred Gosserand; brothers, Leroy DeCuir and James Lockett; and grandchild, Michelle DeCuir.
