John Maynard Soileau, 82, native of Opelousas, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife for over 60 years, Elsie Hildago Soileau; son, John Carl Soileau; granddaughter, Allison Renee Soileau; grandson, Eric Colton Soileau; 2 great-grandchildren, Carson Scott Easley and Cameron Lee Easley; and sister, Barbara Deville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Soileau and Pearl Trouille Soileau, and brother, Fred Soileau. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 5 pm to 8pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 10 am until Funeral Service at 12pm at Melancon Funeral Home, 4708 I-49 N. Service Road, Opelousas, Louisiana 70570.
