Hurd, Johnie Johnie Hurd, 69, of Jefferson City, Tenn., passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at the Heritage Center. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vee Carlock. She is survived by daughters, Ilene Jackson and husband, Charles of Jefferson City, and Lisa Mixon and husband Donald of Baton Rouge; sisters, Louise Haymon and Elaine Cox; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Baker United Methodist Church, Baker, on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Mayes Mortuary of Morristown, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements.

I wanted to say what a wonderful friendship I had with a giving loving lady. I will miss you so I loved you like family for years. You helped with anything I ever needed. You talent will be missed you have such a way of making thing beautiful. In all of my good memories you are there.
