Covington native Leah Bell was killed on May 6 in a tragic boating accident in Copenhagen, Denmark. Leah was in the last week of a study abroad program associated with Pomona College, where she was studying psychology on a pre-health track. Ever concerned with society's most vulnerable citizens, Leah had hopes of becoming a neonatal intensive care nurse practitioner. She was a brilliant, funny, beautiful soul, and her loss will be forever felt by her mother and father, Elizabeth and Jeff Bell, and by her sister, Rebecca, as well as by many family and friends, especially Matthew Koshak and family. Leah's life will be celebrated Saturday, May 20 at 2pm at Christ Episcopal Church, Covington, LA.
