In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

Words can not express the void we as a family now feel. We were so blessed and honored to have you as the best example of a mother, grandmother, friend and most of all how a christian should live. Our hearts ache because we don't have you here physically and at the same time our hearts rejoice because we know you lived your life to be with Jesus in the end. As we carry on without you here on earth we have the comfort of knowing you are watching as we strive to walk the same path of righteousness you did so that we can see you again. I will miss picking you up for church and the food bank (which you gave most of it away to us and everybody in the neighborhood). Not only did you make sure every human had something to eat. You also fed any animal or insect you came into contact with. I have never seen such a kind heart in anyone. I can only hope to develop 1/2 of the heart you had. I love you and I will truly miss you. Until we meet again. Love Cookie, Dion, Tanisha, Donyelle, DJ & Ms. Bernice
