Lynn Charpentier Graybar, age 69, passed away on October 17, 2016, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL. She was born Dec. 5, 1946, and raised in Franklin, Louisiana, St. Mary Parish; then graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, with a degree in mathematics and accounting in 1969. She is survived by her husband Andrew Graybar; and her daughter, Monica Sonnier and husband Mike Sonnier, and their daughter Sarah of Pride, LA. Lynn has a step-daughter, Elizabeth Maust (and family) of West Linn, Oregon; and a step-son, Ben Graybar of Tallahassee, FL. She has a brother, Tom Charpentier, in Pensacola, FL. Her parents were Kate (Gianfala) and Alvin Charpentier of Franklin, LA. With an Italian mother, and Cajun French father, cooking was her delight. She was an avid tennis player in her younger days, with two dozen trophies earned as an adult. In Tallahassee, she loved to play golf, and struggled mightily to "break 100" a number of times. She would leave the house a bit earlier than her husband, and enjoyed waiving to him as she left with "his" golf cart to play with the ladies. She was a CPA, and Vice President and Tax Manager of United Companies in Louisiana, where she worked for a dozen years. At the time, United had 3,300 employees and was listed on the NYSE. While in Memphis, TN, she was Tax Manager with Ernst & Young; then joined the CPA firm of Law Redd Crona & Munroe, when she moved to Tallahassee in 1998. She retired from there in 2011. The family is very grateful to Rev. Michael Foley, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, for attending her at the hospice house. Sleeping softly, then it seems: Heaven enters in my dreams. Angels hover around me, Whispering they have found me. The family will have church services in Baton Rouge, LA, her daughter's home. Instead of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynn's name to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309. Ivey Funeral Home of Bainbridge, GA.

Such a vivacious woman. She sparkled. I recall how competitive she was playing ping pong in my basement long ago. A great loss.
