Funeral services for Malcolm Twiner will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Oakdale with Reverend Mark Strickland officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Malcolm, 87, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Baton Rouge with his loving family by his side. He was born May 17, 1929 in Elizabeth to the union of William Twiner and Gladys Swann Twiner. He was a member of the Boy Scouts where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Malcolm was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also of their Christian Men's Club. He retired from Fort Polk as a federal employee. He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 64 years, Willie Mae King Twiner of Oakdale; one daughter, Pamela Twiner Campbell and husband, Darrell of Katy, Texas; two sons, Mac Twiner and wife, Cindy of Baton Rouge and Ben Twiner and wife, Suzanne of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at First United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.

Willie Mae, Pam, Mac, and Ben, I am so sorry to read just now of the home going of Malcom. I know there is a large empty place in your hearts that can never be filled, I still miss my dad very much after 33 years. Each of you and your families have my prayers and love.
