Mary Hutchison was born in Mansura, Louisiana on June 14, 1953 to the union of Sadie Murray and Alton McGee; the 4th child of ten. She passed from this side to glory on June 2, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at 6:30 A.M. Mary worked at Louisiana State University as a supervisor in the cafeteria for 18 years. Remaining in the food service industry, Mary was promoted to another supervisory position in Louisiana State Department of Public Safety where she worked for more than twenty-eight years until her retirement in 2010. Mary enjoyed her job and often spoke of how impressed she was of her team-building co-workers. Her siblings - Alton McGee, Jr., Christopher McGee, Carol Jacob and Kathleen Jacob, her father; Alton McGee, Sr. and her step-father Clarence Jacob greeted her when she arrived at Heaven's Gate. Mary is survived by her dear and loving husband, Keith Hutchison, and two beautiful daughters, Catina Richard-Robert; Kimberly Scott, and one step daughter, Adreaynne Hutchison of New Orleans, La. Two devoted sons, Kendell Scott; Andre McGee both residents of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and one stepson, Fabian Ballard of San Antonio, Texas. Her mother, Sadie Jacob of Alexandria, La. Three sisters, Frances Cynthia Smith and her husband Albert Smith of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Dr. Betty McGee-Poole and Maureen McGee both of San Francisco, California. Four brothers, Corey and Jorey Jacob of California; Kenneth and Shawn McGee of Mansura, Louisiana. Mary found profound joy in spending time with her grandchildren whom she treasured; Kentrell, Courtney, Keadrick, Kierra, Kimaria, Xavion, Kendell Jr. and her 3 step-grandchildren, Drew, Jamie, and Malia. In addition to a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary supported her family and continually placed them and their endeavors before her own. She was a wonderful and loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother and Aunt along with everyone she came in contact with thereby, leaving a legacy with everyone she left behind. A mass will be held at St Gerard Catholic Church, 5354 Plank Rd, Baton Rouge, La 70805 on Tuesday June 10th 2014 at 10am. Visitations from 9:00am to 10:00am. Interment, St Paul cemetery Mansura, la. Gertude Winnfield Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
